Fairs and Events in Delhi

Delhi being the capital of India is a hub of a lot of trade fairs and exhibitions. A lot of cultural programs are also held here.

Pragati Maidan in Delhi is a centre where a lot of things keep on happening throughout the year. Here are a few glimpses of the upcoming events in this venue in the coming months,

Coin Exhibition 2017: This is going to happen on 23rd September from 10 AM in the morning to 7 PM in the evening. This will be happening in the Pragati Maidan and one has to register with an amount of Rs 15,000 for tickets. This entire event is organised by the Art and Culture Festival and is done with the Museum Heritage Trade Fair. It is an initiative taken by the foreign and domestic antique dealers and this one is done mainly to attract the professionals, collectors, art lovers and designers. This exhibition will give incredible access to many of the finest exhibitors in India. It is also a great experience for the art lovers. This will happen at the exhibition centre in Delhi and it will also have a lot of antique and vintage item galleries. Here visitors generally come from artists, art galleries, celebrities, elite clubs and private art collectors. The luxury buyers can also take pick at this exhibition.

International Crafts Day    : This is going to happen at the Craft Village in Delhi and the date of this event is on 15th October. One can book their tickets by paying an amount of Rs 500. International Craft day every year is celebrated on this day and the organisers here get a huge response from the craft companies and lovers. There are diverse craft items that are brought here from across 20 nations and designers, collectors and artisans gather here to have a look at those exquisite pieces. One has to register themselves within 30th September to be a part of this fair. As handmade is being replaced by machine made items, these fairs are still trying to hold up the tradition. Here one can get famous Bandhini from Jaipur, Shibori from Japan, Thangka Paintings from the North East of India, Basketry from Guwahati and many more. The motto of this fair is one world and one craft. More than 100 of patrons and craftsmen attend this fair every year and this is an event to experience. Here, one can also get a lot of food stalls where one can taste local foods from different states and countries.

IREE 2017: This is going to happen on 11th October from 9 AM in the morning. The venue of this is the Pragati Maidan and this is the 12th International Railway Equipment Exhinition. This event is organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry along with the Ministry of Railways and Government of India. This is the largest event organised by the Railway sector in India and many senior officials take part in it.
